Distance function wavelets - Part II: Extended results and conjectures
نویسنده
چکیده
Report II is concerned with the extended results of distance function wavelets (DFW). The fractional DFW transforms are first addressed relating to the fractal geometry and the fractional derivative, and then, the discrete Helmholtz-Fourier transform is briefly presented. The Green second identity may be an alternative devise in developing the theoretical framework of the DFW transform and series. The kernel solutions of the Winkler plate equation and the Burger’s equation are used to create the DFW transforms and series. Most interestingly, it is found that the translation invariant monomial solutions of the high-order Laplace equations can be used to make very simple polynomial DFW series. In most cases of this study, solid mathematical analysis is missing and results are obtained intuitively in their conjecture status.

Distance function wavelets - Part III: "Exotic" transforms and series
Part III of the reports consists of various unconventional distance function wavelets (DFW). The dimension and the order of partial differential equation (PDE) are first used as a substitute of the scale parameter in the DFW transform and series, especially with the space and time-space potential problems. It is noted that the recursive multiple reciprocity formulation is the DFW series. The Gr...
متن کاملONE-DIMENSIONAL TREATMENT OF HYDROGEN BOND PART 2
The potential function of Lippincott and Schroeder for linear hydrogen bond has been re-examined and extended to nonlinear hydrogen bond. The parameters originally introduced to the potential function by Lippincott and Schroeder have been determined from the structural parameters such as 0.. .Odistance 0-H bond distance, H.. .O distance and HOO angle. Thevalidity of harmonic oscillator appr...
متن کاملMonitoring Nonlinear Profiles Using Wavelets
In many manufacturing processes, the quality of a product is characterized by a non-linear relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables. Using nonlinear regression for monitoring nonlinear profiles have been proposed in the literature of profile monitoring which is faced with two problems 1) the distribution of regression coefficients in small samples is unkno...
متن کاملMulti-resolution Smoothing of Nurbs Curves Based on Non-uniform B-spline Wavelets
As a rule, an energy method is widely adopted for b-spline curve smoothing, but this method has the disadvantages such as massive calculation, computation complexity and low efficiency. Compared with the energy method, multi-resolution smoothing approaches nicely overcome these obstacles. Presently, some researches have been conducted on multi-resolution smoothing, but these efforts mainly aime...
متن کاملDistance function wavelets - Part I: Helmholtz and convection-diffusion transforms and series
This report aims to present my research updates on distance function wavelets (DFW) based on the fundamental solutions and general solutions of the Helmholtz, modified Helmholtz, and convection-diffusion equations, which include the isotropic HelmholtzFourier (HF) transform and series, the Helmholtz-Laplace (HL) transform, and the anisotropic convection-diffusion wavelets and ridgelets. The lat...
